CASUALTIES.
+ A young ma-n, named Frederick Hams died at W-iimnto on Wednesday, night from tho efforts of a gunshot wound supposed, to have boen self-inflicted. Tlie act is stated to have been duo to financial troubles. In consequence of his horse bolting near Waihan Forks, Mr McCullough, of Quamby farm, was thrown from his buggy last evening. Dr. Barclay was in attendance as soon as possible, and found Mr McCullough suffering from a, severe wound in the head. (press association telegram.) INVERCARGILL, Nov. 21. The Glenorcby correspondent of th© "Southland Times" reports that on Monday evening Mrs Davidson, while driving home, stopped to throw an orange to an old man. One of tho reins fell and startler! tho horse, and Mrs Davidson, in en ___r -ouring to recover the reins, fell, was kicked on the head, and died instantly. The horse bolted until it was pulled up by the loose rein entangling in the axle, and was caught by the huslrand of deceased, who found his little daughter unhurt in the bottom of th© trap.
