Mi Gray handed Mr Wilford a letter which the latter read as follows: — "Orari Sports Club. 27th April. 1007. The Secretary Bookmakers' Association, Christchurch. Dear Sir.—We are prepared to let you the.«© right of betling at our'forthcoming meeting on 9th May for £20, exclusive of gate entrance, amount to be paid before roces start. Kindly advi.se if you will accept these terms, and oblige, yours faithfully. E. O'Mallcy. secretary." Mr Witty: That's got nothing to do with the Hunt Club.
