Pa, Miss Stirling has devoted herself entirely to mission work among th© Maoris of tho Hawke's Bay district, under th© superintendence of Mr Williams, flho is a {treat favourite with tho natives, and ier. work-ia highly spoken of. She loaves for Te Ante this evening, and, is accompanied by Miss Towle, of Colao, who will assist her in mission work. .''■ ' Misa Harhand, 8.A., of tho London Missionary Society, Madrns, South India, arrived in Christchurch on Thursday on her 'second furlough.
