Tho Government was appointing a .-number of inspectors to we that COtrs were healthy and th<r»t byres wore kept properly clean. Wide powers wero given under the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, and if municipalities would do what seemed to bo their plain duty, and the provisions of tho Act referred, to wero judicially U6ed, a great deal of good would bo accomplished. At 5 p.m. Ao Council adjourned until 7.30 n.m.
