RAILWAY CLASSIFICATION.
(rRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, November 16. The Dunedin Branch of the Railway Officers Institute passed a resolution strongly condemning the tactics of a junior officer in the Head Offico in stating in a seemingly inspired message that the opposition to the Railway Classification Bill came from a .minority of agitators, and urging the adoption of the measures now before Parliament. The meeting decided to telegraph to Sir Joseph Ward that i notnTng but amended on tho same lines as the Post and Telegraph Department, would give satisJ faction. OAMARU. November 16. ! With reference to tho telegram received by tho younger members of the first division of the railway from ft junior in Wellington stating thit the Minister mado certain concessions, and urging them to telegraph tho Premier to put tbe Bill through in its present form, opinion is unanimous that it has been inspired by a high official with selfish motives. The institute here have telegraphed the Premier. Mr Mas-sey, and local members that nothing short of equality with the poetal officials will be satisfactory.
