PRESERVATION OF INFANT LIFE.

1 The Committee of tho Society fo: tho Preservation of Infant Life have completed all arrangements for the supply in Christchnrch of humanised milk, graded to suit all cases, and their dopartment at the ChrisUshurcti Dairy, Tuani street west, will open on Wednesday, November 20th. Tho Society has been fortunato in securing the services of Nurse Morgan as head nurse, and of Miss Godfrey, who is ivcll-known in this city, .'is assistant. Nurse Morgan received her training in the Melbourne Hospital. Her te-ti-nionials from .-ill connected with that institution and from other Australian and New Zealand doctors are of the very highest order. She Ikis already had a great deal of experience with babies, and is to go at once to Dunedin to study Dr. Trnby King's methods there. In the meantime, until her return, tho department will be in charge of Nurse Mackinnon, Dr. King's experienced head nurse in Duncdin, whose succe-sful carrying out of his teacliing is well-known. All who come in contact with her should profit enormously by her instruction. The Society's nurse will always be available to co-operate with medical men in the treatment of babies, and letters and telephone messages Eent to her. at the Christcluirch Dairy. Tuam street, telephone 1127, will reach her, and will receive prompt attention. The price of the milk will be, 3d per pint bottle if one is taken daily, 2}d if two or more are taken. It will be delivered in covered glass bottles at tho door in Christchurch and suburbs, and at the Christchurch Railway Station for country districts, carriage extra. To those living beyond the reach of medical men the nurse will forward formulae and full instructions for preparation in the home, on receipt of full particulars of any case.
