BAD EFFECT ON TRADE.
The trouble is already having a disastrous effect on Newcastle trade. The harbour is full of vessels waiting cargoes. No coal is available. Steamers aro returning to Sydney and south coast porte to obtain loading. In the new situation some Sydney coal merchant* are refusing to fill ordera. A stiff advance in the price of coal ia anticipated.
