The barque Bengairn, which left Newcastle for Antofagasta on November 2nd, wee towed into Sydney in a crippled condition. She had a thrilling experience on the coa&t. She encountered a terrific gale, the cargo shifted, and the barque with a great lurch went on her beam ends. Great eeas thundered all over them, the hatch coverings started, end the weter began to find ite way below. The maste were cut away to eavo the veeeel. The vessel was 300 miles off the coast at times, but managed to make tho coast safely.
