In the Australia match, the New Zealand A team made the best score at 900 yards, scoring 237 points, which gave them a couple of points lead. They, however, fell away at tho long distance, scoring only 189, as against the winning team's 203. Tho British team did not participate because they wished to get as much practice together ac possible for the Empire Match.
Owing to mistakes made by scorers and check scorers, the position in the King's Aggregate hes undergono Borne alteration. Harrison, of Lismore, takes second place; Linn (Orange), third; Raven (Great Britain) fourth; Britain (Victoria), fifth; Tatlow (Great Britain), eixth. Mosefield won £1 in the Lutton match and Hadfield a similar amount in the Holmes Aggregate. Later. The individual scores of the New Zealand A team, which finished fourth in the Australian Match, are:—Ayeon (Wyndham), 121; A; Ballinger (Wellington), 97; Hadfield (Blenheim), 93; Duncan (Donniston) 91; Craw (Chorlten), 90; Wilkie (Upper Hutt), 87; 31asefield (Pelorus Sound), 85; Cameron (Opaki), 82; total, 746. Tho New Zealand team to compete in the Empire Match, which will be fired on Monday, put in to-day at practising, and, both as regards weather and shooting conditions, found themselves more at home. The conditions of the m&toh are ten shots at each of th« ranges—2oo, 500, 600, 800, 900 and 1000 yards. Some good work was done by the New Zealanders, the team averaging 95 at the three shorter ranges, and 93 at the three longer distances.
