COLLISION OF DOUBLEDECKERS.

» _- 31ISHAP OX THE NEW BRIGHTON LINE. Two double-deckers, one a Linwood car and the other tho New Brighton car, collided on the Caual Reserve on Tuesday evening, Motorman Orr being very nastily cut about, and two or three passengers receiving minor injuries. From information gathered it appears that the 7.15 car from the lStjunre for Linwood, which ie closely followed by the 7.17 tram for Xgw Brighton, was becking along the line along the Canal Reserve, after running round the loop-line, when the New .Brighton car, in charge of Motoring n T. Orr. which had aleo run round the loop, collided with it. The impact of the collision was extremely violent, ■and the pa6sengere all pitched heavily forward, some of them being slightly cut by shattered glass.' Motormnn Orr did not oscnpe so lightly, aa he received some rather severe injuries to hie face. He was, however, eble to take his car through to New Brighton and back, although he was bleeding profusely ell the time. Tho passengers were naturally very much alorrned. and eever«l of them, meetly ladies, were too scared to resume their journey. Both care were considerably damaged, the back of the Linwood double-decker being smashed very bcdly. Many of the windows of the cars were also broken, and it will take some time to effect repairs.
