A tribute to the good qualities of New Zealandera is paid (says our Wellington correspondent) in a tetter whicii Mr Donne, general manager of the Department of Touriet and Health Resorts, has received from Mr W. "W. Wheeler, a millionaire of St. Joseph, Missouri, U.S.A., who recently visited the Dominion. "Wβ he writes, "treated royally while in New Zealand, and 1 can only speak of the people and the country in the most commendatory terms. In factj I believe that they aro to-day the most reliable, honest, and straightforward people on the face of the earth, and the country us certainly a delight to anyone wbo i.-, fortunate enough to have an opportunity to travel there." A Canadian, too, has found hie hosts "admirable wnd lovable. He wishes the country "a future unspoiled by the mistakes of ultra Radical experimental legislation, wedded to the tendency to apply increasing taxes to tho augmentation of the public service rather than to the establishment and maintenance of reproductive p.ublio •μ-orka.'
