HOCKEY.
On Saturday afternoon ft fancy-dress hockey match'was played at Dunsandel U'tween the Waikirikiri (ladies) and a team of Dunsandel gentlemen. Of the costumes, those of J. Rorke, J. McKenzie and J. WalkfijT dreerve special mention. The ladies", pioying below their usual strengtbj were defeated by tour goals to two. Afternoon tea was dispensed at ,, the conclusion of the game, and Mr S. J. , Henderson presented hockey sticks to the best forward of tho season. Miss N. McMillan, and the best back, Miss K. Skinner.. Mr Simcs, of Christchurch, was rofereo.
