THREATENED STRIKE IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, September 9. Trouble is threatened in the carry-
ing trade over tho question of working hours. A meeting of light carriers resolved to cease work on Saturday next if their demands were not conceded. The hoavy ««rriers meet to-night to consider the situation. SAFE ROBBERY. MELBOURNE, September 9. The cafe of the Melbourne Coffee Pnlaco was robbed. Between £150 and £200 is missing. It is supposed a duplicate key was used.
