ROAD HOARDS.
SPRINGS. The last meeting of the Springs. Road Board was attended by all the members. It was decided that alterations in the roll, owing to transfers of property, will not be made till all rates are paid, and that those whosenames aro on the roll when rates are levied will lie held responsible. Mr Andrew moved, Mr Murray seconded, and it was carried, "That the matter of procuring a stone-crushing plant be deferred for twelve months." Tenders [or gravelling, sent in by Mr E. Kbhorn, were accepted for the threo roads as follows:—Lincoln Boundary road 2s, Halswell _nd Hudson's roads 3s 6d per yard each. The time for tendering for the Ll and 2 rivers was extended till September 10th. The Clerk reported that arrangements had been made to remove the fence and huts from tho line ot road at the Lower Sclwyn. It was decided to re•imi one sido of the South road, from Burnham to Norwood, and 100 chains of the Old Selwyn road leading to McGiegora Ford. The finance report _ V_.' , ~ "_? Ipts for tho month to be 7 7 >.« ' and debit balance at the fvink, £220 6s 6d. Accounts for £86 15s 8d were passed.
