GERMAN FOOTBALL.
It seems not unlikely that in tho near future Germany may send over a conquering football team to England (writes an Englishman in Leipzig to tho "Daily Mail'). The game is now played more than ever bn Germany, ancf, what is more, played regularly all through the year, including summer, on many a ground in big towns. The majority of our football "sportsmen' are content with paying gate-money anu watching others play; here the German youth plays tho game himself, and when ono considers that the "Springboks' wero largely composed of Boers anu Germans, and also the physical strength and intellectuality of the average German, and the practico they have all the year round, it is surely time for our young men to play football, and not merely watch others uo so Matches are now reported every day in tho papers, as ours are in England, under "Fussball."
