His Honour Mr Justico Chapman sat in Chambers yesterday, and disposed of tho roses set down. Probates were granted of the wills I of Grace Harris, deceased (Mr Salter), | John Ashman (Mr Dougall), Mary j Ann Smith (Mr Johnston), Charles ; Sowman (Mr Smithson), Margaret Bennett (Mr Helmoro), and Mary Treloar (Mr Maude). # i An order for discovery was made in tho case of Cameron v. Lyttelton Borough Council, upon the application of Mr Beswick. < . A motion, for tho appointment of a j new trustee in tho estate of Henry Thomson, deceased (Mr Johnnton), was ! adjourned for fourteen days. A petition to uso capital in the estate of Gilbert A. Henderson, doceased (Mr Barrett), was directed to stand over pending the filing of a further affidavit. Letters of administration were granted in tho estate of Alfred Rußsell, deceased (Mr Dougall). Upon tho application of Mr Frazer •, an order was made for the taking of evidence in Wanganui in the divorce cose of Powers v. Powers. In tho originating summons case of Spackman and another v. Marciel, an order was mado giving an increased income to tho beneficiaries.
