The "Australian, Star" of the 20th. inst., says:—On the Parraniatta river yesterday afternoon Dick Arnst, tho New Zealand cycling «charaj>ion, who has gone in for sculling in an attempt to win the championship of the world/ did a trial row for & party of gentlemen interested in him, including Mr Parker, of Christchurch, ono of hie backers. The water wae choppy, as there was a strong nor-eaeter blowing, buc Arnst acquitted himself ebovo expectations, and hi* friend* expressed themselves as well pleased with hie. form. " .''.-:■
