Earl Grey referred to the importance from an Imperial standpoint, of the attendance of the British, Australian and Newfoundland teams, whom Sir F-. Borden also welcomed.
Sir F. Borden added that he hoped every 6choolbby in Canada , over xo years of age would soon have a rifle and equipment, and receive training in marksmanship.
Four Australians won places in the Dominion match prize list. Motton (Queensland), with 67 out of a possible 70, secured second prize.
