Mulai Hand declares that he will grant satisfaction to the French for Dr. Mauchamp's murder, and other affairs, and hopes to enter into good relations with them and all the Powers. He urges the population to remain peaceful.
(Received August 30th, 12.17 a.m.) MOROCCO, August 25). Mulai Haftd's letter was welcomed at Mazagun, where he was proclaimed Sultan. The officials agreed to remain in office. Mulai Hand has ordered all Government arms and ammunition in Mazagan to be despatched to Marakesh.
