(srKCIAX TO "THE TRESS.") DUNEDIN, July 5. The boat in which Mr C. W. Harvey put to sea. at Akatriro on Tuesday was a 14ft gig purchased from tho wrecked bnrquo .Slniguerito .uiiabaud. Harvey .intended , to lake it up tho Taieri river to Lake Waihola, where it was to havo been used for duck-shooting IJh adventurous disposition frequently took him to places which to anyone else would bo inaccessible; so it is not surprising th?.t lie *liould have undertaken the act that has apparently terminated So sadly. Mr Harvey ivas well known as a keen sportsman and a mrmbor of the Dunedin Athletic Association. lie was the youngest son of the late District Judge Harvey, and was a widower with two children. Mr Harvey's brother, Captain John Allen Harvey, of tho 4th New Zealand Contingent, was killed at Ottoshoop in the Transvaal war. The tug Plucky returned to port this afternoon. She saw no trace of Mr Harvey.
