The "Shipping Gazette," referring to the cancellation of tho mail contract, says: "Tho Commonwealth has mado a pretty hash of tho business, whatever one may think of tho contractor's lack of tact. Those who in future interest' themselves in tho carriage of mails and produco will have the advantage of a widened knowledge of tho methods and eccentricities of Antipodean statesmen."
