This ve>ry rare Californian lily is not w«ll known in Australasia, b«i»v3 limited in stock, and this in tli© han'ta of only one or two people. it grow* 3ft to sft high. The flowers ate tw«j to three inches long and three mcl»« across. The smaller stems have one flower, and the number of flowora on a spiko vary aooording to the eize of the bulbs, so that among a number of plants in bloom th«ro may bi? Johll tho well-known horticulture! enthusiast, exhibited several spikte of this choice lilium at the Ne\r Zealand International Exhibition Rose Show, and tins novelty proved to be one of the centres cf attraction among the visitors to the show.
