OAMARU.
Our Oamaru correspondent -writes:— In tlie early part of the week a number nf sales of wheat took place at firm rates, compared with last week. Velvet in straight linos and also mixed parcel was eoid at 3s 2id' and 3s 2}d net nt country stations, and at 3s 3d delivered at tho mill. Sales wero also made subject to commission nt 3s 3d and 3s 3Jd at country stations for Velvet, and 3s 4d for Tuscan. Oats aro still very firm, milling Cartons having sold at 2_ Od and 2s 6id net at country sidings, feed Gartons at 2s sd. while 2fe 7d, less commission, van also obtained. For Danish 2s 5Jd net at sidings has been paid. Dun oats are in request for sowing for spring feed, and one parool realised 23 9d at Oamtvru, loss commission. Fair malting barley sold at 3s Gd at a siding. Potatoes aro again easier, and were quoted at £3 before the holidays. Oaten sheaf chaff and hay are in demand at from £4 10s to £-3 for tho former, and £3 10s for tho latter, baled.
