Our Oamaru correspondent reports as follows:—A fair amount of business is now being done. Whe*t is in request, and n number of parrels have charged hands. Saks of Tii«ca» have taken place at 3s Id mt and Ss 2d and 3s 2id less oommi.s-sion. \ civet at 3s OJd, a;:id 3s Id not and 3s Ud to 3s 2d. less eommlesion, and Red Chaff at 3s Id less commission, at all country sidinpfc. The largest transaction effected is one thousand sacks of Velvet and Tuscan, tlio latter predominating, at 3« 2d. Ires commission. The tr.mplc of WW wheat is generally spoken of as being first cl-ats. bright in colour, thin in "kin. and perhaps a little small in tlie herry. Oats aro not attracting much attention, hut prioes aro firmer. Gartons have changed hands at 2s 6d at oenntry stations, less commission, and of Danish in ono line nt 2s 3:1 net. A few small rw reels of new oat* have hi en taken nt 2s 4d to 2s fid at rountry stations, Ices commission. Potatoes are at £6 locally.
