SKIN SALES.
At tlie sheep skin sales there was a good attendance and good competition; 4600 were offered and sold. Merino combings havo advanced a farthing, and fine crossbreds a farthing to a halfpenny, and coarse a halfpenny.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, have received the following cable message from their 1/ondon office, dated December 2l)th :—"Butter—The Copenhagen official quotation is one kroner higher. Total, butter imports into the United Kingdom for week ending December loth, 78,OOOcwtj being the same as tlie imports for tho corresponding period of last year. The market is dull and declining."
