"THE LITTLE STRANGER."
To-night at His Majesty's Theatre Messrs Meynoll, Gunn and Varna will introduce to Christchurch playgoers the, latest farcical comedy, 'The Little Stranger." The piece is said to be extremely funny, and its greatest recommendation is tliat it has an original plot. Master Willie Parke, a clever child-actor of nine years of age. who plays the name part, is said to give the character in a way which would do ciedit to an older and more cxi>erienced actor. Another feature in to-night's performance will be that an entirely new oompaaiy of artists Wilt .make their first appearance in Qhrisrtohuxch, and it may also be added •that they were specially selected under the personal supervision- of the author himself. "The Little Stranger" season is strictly limited to six performanots, and as the holidays are approodhing, there seoma no reason why the season to be commenced Wiis evening, at His Majesty's, should not bo as pleasant to the entertainers as to those entertained. The-box plans are at the Dresden, where seats can be booked for any night of thfe season.
