CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER AGAINST FELTON. Wlliam Thomas Felton was charged at the Magistrate's Court yesterday w\*Y !--.iving caused the death of George Tancred de Montalk, by negligently driving a motor-oar on the Riccarton road on tho night of the sth inst. Mr Stringer appeared for tlie prosecutiom and Mr Vin<jent for the accused. Th* evidence in this case was similar to that given at the Coroner's inquest on Wednesday last. The following witnesses wore examined:—Dr Moorhouse, Cliarlca W. Inwood, Charles Inwood, and Thomas A. R-. Dennison (who stated that he had driven the car, and noticed that St had a slight tendency to pull toward the right), and Crosbie L. Smith. Felton's evidence at the Coroner's inquest was put in by fiei*. geant Norwood. Accused waa 00mmitted for trial, bail being allowed, himself in £200 and two sureties of £100 each.
