POLICE COURT.
Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.. presided yesterday morning at the Police Court. A first offender was fined 10s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment for drunkenness. Five other first offenders were oach fined ss, with the alternative of twenty-four hours' imprisonment. Leonard Craig, for a second offence, was fined 10s, and ordered to pay ls Gd cab fare, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. John Ailen and Boyd Thomson were charged with using threatening behaviour in High street. Allen, who was also charged with drunkenness, was fined 40s, in default ono mouth's imprisonment, and Thomson was fined .os, with tho alternative of forty-eight hours' imprisonment. James Lockie and Harry Kilgour, on a similar charge, wore each fined 20s, in default seven days' imprisonment. Leonard Craig was charged with procuring liquor during the current y ol_ a prohibition order, ami was fined -h*.-. with tho alternative of one month's it!pri*sonmont. William Davis, charged with tl *heft at Dunedin of a quantity . tobacco, valued nt 2os, the property Henry Bayley, was remanded to app< in Dunedin on the ]2th inst. John Edward Pullan, charged wi. rhe theft of a bicycle, wa.s remand- • until the 13th inst. Bail was allow., in one surety of £50.
