NORTH v SOUTH.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TEL-CRAM.) WELLINGTON, September 19. Great interest is being taken in the North v South Island match to be played at Athletic Park on Saturday. .Since the good performance put up by the Otago team against Wellington, the chances of the Southerners have' been looked upon more favourably. Tho North Island team will be without the services of Roberts, who was injured in tho match against Hawke's Bay, and his place will be taken by H. Eiernan, of Auckland. Glasgow, another of the "All Blacks,*' is also unable to assist the North, and his place will bo taken by T. Cross, of Wellington. It is more than likely that Wallace, of Wellington, will also be unable to pjay, in which easo J. O'Lc.ry, of Wairarapa, should ha\e a chance of inclusion.
