The Rev. J. R. Clark will conduct services in aid of Weeleyan Home Missions, to-morrow, at tho Durhnni erreet church in tho morning, and at tho East belt church at night. Tho directors of the New Zealand Investment, Mortgage and Deposit Company, Ltd., now being floated in Wellington, have decided to close the share list on the 13th instant.
The Canterbury Frozen Meat Company invite etockowners having sheep fit for freezing to communicate with them to onable them to determine with regard to re-oponing tho freezing wo lk*.
Tho next terra at the Boys' High •School begins on Monday, September 17th, and now boye will be received at 9.40 a.m. on that day. At the Girk' High School tho new term aleo coinlrencos on September 17th. and new pupils are requested to attend at 9.30 that morning. Tho third term at Girt-on College begins on Monday, September 24th. A course of lectures to women on "Nursing" will bo given, by l>r. Alioe Mcorhowso in the Chamber of Commerce Hall, commencing at 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 13th. A class in embroidery and lace work is to be held at tho School of Art during tho coming term. The annual mooting of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-op. Association of Canterbury, will be held in the Alexandra Hall at -' p.m. to-day.
