A BATCH OF PKOSECUTIONS. John Kilgour appeared at the Ashburton Magistrate's Court, before Mr AYray, tS.M" yesterday morning, on thro© informations for selling liquor at Mount iSomors, end ono of keeping it for sale. Ho was fined £30 on one charge of selling liquor, and convicted, on the other throe, aaid was allowe3 one week in which to pay, in default six weeks.- imprisonment. Walter Gallaud was charged with keeping liquor for sale, ami aleo with selling. The cases were dismissed, the magistrate holding there was no evidence ngainet the accmed. , In, the case of Frederick Brad&haw Kobiiifion, charged with keeping liquor for sale, the magistrate reserved his decision for a week. W. Smith, charged with bringing liquor into a No-liconeo district without advising the vendor of his intention to do so, was fined 40s and costs.
