POISONED TURTLE.
TWENTY-EIGHT DEATHS IN FIJI.
(fbess association' teuegbam.) AUCKLAND, September 7. It ires recently announced from Fiji that some natives at- tTdu Point were poisoned by eating turtle. The incident was much more serious than et firs* reported. No than 28 deaths, including c. family of five, have taken place, and several patients are still suffering. It appears the turtle oaten was picked up in a dega swamp in a dying condition.
