TO THE EDITOR OF " TH» PBESS." Sir, —Your readers will perhaps require to be reminded that the receipts for last year for the Canterbury Auxiliary were £08 short of the previous year, and that subscriptions are urgently needed to oarry on the woric or the Society, which all sections of the Protestant Church will agree is a worthy Mud excellent one. Two anonymous donors have kindly contributed £10 and £8 respectively, unci another contribution, of £5 has beem received conditionally on nine other subscribers giving £5 each, thus making £50. I am sure that when this is known, those who would not teel the loss of a £5 note will respond to the challenge time given. Subscriptions will bo received by mc or the hon. treasurer, Mr J. W.
