Tlie main, race from Doody's coVner to Fisher's gatgs had been cleaned, the rotten culvert at Herman's corner up at Cooper's Creek lia:i boon replaced by 9m. earthenware pipes, and' nutmerous small improvements and repairs had been carried out. The secretary was directed to write to a ratepayer about his race, informing him that if it was not properly cleaned and maintaiwed, the Beard would removo it on to the road. Mr Thompson waited on tiie Board concerning storm water round Starvation Hill, and it was agreed that Mr Horn, Mr Thompson, and the secretary, should inspect* Mr Thompson's land, and so© what was best to be done. Tho secretary, was requested to inspect flumes and drain on Bruin's road, Raaigiora, and report. The chairman and secretary were deputed to wait on tho Board's solicitor regarding certain races. It was agreed that the chairman act as delegate to the Local Bodies' Conferences held in "W-rflincton from time to time. Accounts amounting to £215 7s 7d wore passed for payment-
