Metropolitan Trotting Club's Meeting to-morrow. J. Stewart, who was engaged to ride Slow Tom in tho Grand National Steeplechase, finds that as tb» result of the serious fall he had at Trentham, and tbe shaking he subsequently received last week aa the result of Leesido coming to grief, he is not in a nosition to do the horse justice. He has therefore approached the horse's connections and advised that another rider be' substituted. Naturally Stewart is greatly disappointed at being unab?e to ride the horse, and his action in putting the position plainly before concerned is worthy of commendation. It has now been arranged that D. Watt will have tho mount. I |
