RESOLUTION BY THE INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION.

The matter of Mr Allan's resignation was discussed at the quarterly meeting of the Canterbury Industrial Association lost night.

The Chairman (Mr W. W. Charters) expressed regret that Mr AH-un had had; to rew*gn, and trusted that his trip to Australia would restore his health so as to enable him to take up the position again, which he had filled with such conspicuous tact and ability. Mr Minsou moved:—" That this Association extremely regrets the reeignution of Mr Robert Ailaci as Government Commissioner of the New Zealand Interaationad Exhibition, on account of ill-hearth, but hopes that arrangement-- may yet bo made to retail has services as 'Executive Commissioner in the interests of tho Exhibition." Mr Minson said that personally ho would feel inclined to go a 'little further, and move am addition to the effect that if Mr Allan's services could not ibe retained! it was desirable that three Commissioners should be appointed, and mot two.
