BURNHAM INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL.
PUBLIC ENQUIRY ORiDERED. (SPECIAL TO "inK FBBSS.") WELLINGTON, August 10. Some time ago complaints were mode in connection with the management of - the Bun-ham Industrial School, and the Government appointed Dr. Anderson to make enquiries and report. The doctor's report was in due course forwarded to the Government. Since then, I underotand, other > charges have heon made, and Cabinet has now decided that a public enquiry shall he vheld regarding the whole matter. ■ - v The enquvry will probably be by one ' of the stipendiary magistrates, and will . commence as soon as the Deportment of Justice can moke tihe necessary arrangements. Meanrbime 'Dor. Anderson's report will not be made public. I understand, however, that it will be handed over to the Commissioner who will make the public enquuy.
