NEW ZEALAND MEAT FOR GERMANY.
Our London correspondent states that on May 31st, at 15 Dowgate Hill, a meeting was held of representatives of Now Zealand meat-importing firms. Its purport was to decide what steps should bo taken to secure advantage from tho visits then being paid to London by representative Gorman authorities." Sir E. Montague Nelson was in tho chair, and a member, or else a representative, of all the best known firms was present, as ako was Mr H. C. Cameron. It was unanimously resolved?—" That this meeting of representatives of the New Zealand Frozen Meat Industry, recognising the importance of maintaining an'l developing the trade, considers it advisable to arrange for the reception of tho editors of the leading German newspapers during their visit to London, and for their visit to SmithSeld Meat Market, and tho Gold Air Stores, with the view to ultimately creating an interest through the Press in Germany in the question of the importation of New Zealand meat into that country. ,, A small committee, representing all interests, was formr<l to carry out tho objects of the meeting.
