MEETING OF CREDITORS.
_♦ . A meeting of creditors of F. B. Muir, of Christchurch, photographer, j was held at the Official Assignee's '■ office yesterday, when thero were eight creditors present. I The Official Assignee stated that ho had been unable to communicate with .Mr Muir, and nobody knew where ho was. The assets consisted of the ordiI nary photographer's which, when sold, realised about £55. Tho sale was proceeded with as quickly as I possibly, for there was a continuing • liability for rent of about 10s daily. ' The proofs lodged totalled t about _ £220, of which £-'3 18s 2d was a pre- ' ! ference claim for rent. i In reply to a question Mr Greenwood saidthat the bankruptcy of Muir did not affect any rights the creditors i might have against Matter, Mr Muir's j former partner. i I The principal creditors were:—J. I Griffiths, C j 12s Gd; Smith and - 'Smith £5 _t 7d; Kempthorne, Prosser and Co., £9 3s 9d; Royal Exchange Company, £28 18s 2d; G. W. Bennett, I £130 Is 3d; R. Crcrar and Co., £2 16s 6d. It was resolved to leavo the estate in ! the hands of the Official Assignee.
