TEMUKA GRAIN MARKET.
During the week (writes cur Temuka correspondent) tlie markets liave remained very quiet, but the very small ouantity of'cither wheat cr oats *>n offer sltows that holders are not anxious to let go at tower rates. Sydney reports state tliat freights are offering at 12s Gd to London, and seeing that this brings the cost to place on tlie London market at only a fraction over the cost to ship to any Now Zealand port, and price---* having ot any rate remained firm in London with smaller shipments, holders '
are not likely to accept lower prices yet. Oats aro not in strong demand, but practically none are offering here; stocks aro light, and holders will not accept any lower prices, consequently no business of any sizo is passing.
