♦ Sir Wardrop has presented the Shirley -Golf Club with a silver niashie aa a trophy for mixed foursomes, the trophy to be held by tho Club, and the names of the winners of each competition aro to be inscribed thereon. The match is to bo a handicap competition against Colonel 'Bogey, men to play from tho men's tecs at the odd holes, viz., 1. 3, 5, 7, etc. Ladies to ploy from the ladies' tees at the even holes, viz.. 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. Tho hnndic3p is throe-eighths of tho total of tha two handicaps added together, strokes to bo taken as on back of the bogay card supplied.
