PEKIN, June 28. An indemnity of £4700 has boon granted by China to the surviving child of tho Rev. Mr Kingham, n missionary who was massacred at Nanchang. FIGHTING IN NIGERIA. (Received June 29th, 10.3 p.m.) LONDON, June 29. Stubborn fighting is reported from Southern Nigeria. Captain Wayling was slightly wounded. Captain Rudkin went to his assistance, and returned to Ogbor after heavy fighting. His force sustained thirteen casualties. CONGESTED DISTRICTS IN IRELAND. (Received Juno 30th, 12.55 a.m.) LONDON, June 29. A Royal Commission will enquire into the congested districts of Ireland, with a view to enlarging the powers of tho Congested Districts Board. TRIBUTE TO MR SEDDON. The Earl of Liverpool, formerly Lord Hawkesbury, speaking in the House of Lords, said that they all regarded Mr Seddon as a great statesman, and everyone would deplore the Empire's loss.
