MR SEDDON'S BODY COMING TO WELLINGTON.
AIESSAGE FROAI SIR JOSEPH WARD.
(PKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 11. The Act ing- Premier is informed that Air Seddon's body is on board the Os-AA-estry Grange, which is leaving Sydney at 9 o'clock to-night. The vessel Is due at Wellington on Saturday morning. Cabinet will oarry on, under present arrangements, the administration of Air S:ddon's A'arious portfolios by those Ministers to whom they had been allotted prior to the Premier's departure. Air Hall-Jones cabled to Sir Joseph Ward the news of Air Seddon's death, and late to-night lie received tho following reply from London :—"The awful ne-A-s of our dear old chief having passed to his long home conies as a -stunning bloAv to ir.e. His colleagues will feel I with tho people of the colony that a ! great and good man, who ivorked with • unflagging zeal for the country he loA-ed, being taken from them, removes tho most striking figure in colonial public life. The grief of his dear wife and family AA-ill be tempered with tho knoiv-le-dgo that the hearts of the people of Ncav Zealand Avill go out to them in the unprecedented trial they have to bear."
