THE ACCIDENT TO THE PELOTAS.

Tho Pelobas was being tewed out of Whangcpe at 10.30 on Saturday morning by the steamer Ohinemuri, and when off tho North Spit she took sheer Ago inst her rudder ond went aground. Half an hour later the rudder broko. and the vessel was rolling heavily and was filled with water. The seas tvero breaking right over her. The Ohineniuri's crew got alongside in a boat and took the Pelotcis's crew a-hore, it being unsafe for them to remain aboard. On Surday morning the Ohinemuri got a lino aboard, and the Pelotas was pulled off. After tewing three hours tho Ohinemuri nan tho disabled vessel on to the beach at Wliangape
