Our Timaru correspondent writes:— The Timaru markets are etill characterised bj' a very buoyant tendency, and sales are being effected readily every day. "Wheat has now touched 3s 6d per bushel (as predicted last week), this price- being obtainable for prime quality milling Tuscan, while Velvet found buyers yesterday at 3s 4Jd per bushel, delivered in Timaru, sacks 6Jd. Red chaff is worth 3s 4d on the came basis and fowl wheat is commanding 3s 2a to 3e 3d, broken 2s 6d to 2s Bd, f.0.b., s.i. In onte, Cartons have now gone up to 2s 3d, Duns and Dani.sh commanding 2s Id to 2is 2d at country etations, sacks extra. Potatoes find a ready sale at £10 per ton, f.o.b.
