I The secretary reported that he nad been unable to secure the Theatre for Uio dates selected by the committee, tho dates available being June sth and July 23rd and 24th. It wa<s decided to accept the date?. The eompo- i titions on June sth will be confined to fivo six-round bouts oetwoen pelected j con tenants, and on July 23rd and 24th , the local championships wi'l be decided. ' The secretary of tho New Zealand ; Council wrote, respecting a epeciol make of glove for use at compotit'onfi, end . ordered on k'half of locil Avocations from tho Reach Company, of Philadelphia. It was decided to take four eels of tho glovpp. A number of honorary members were eectrd. The β-crctnry was instructed to apply for a permit to hold a competition on June sth, and tor pr>rm's« : on to provide for seating accommodation on tho staoie. A meeting of the Council of the Boxing Association was he'd last- niffhi., and attended by Mr Gnereon (in the chair), and Messrs W. G. At.ick, F. W. Johnston, C. T. Aschman, F. K. Evan*. C. Clark, A. T. "Washer, and T. E. Hobson («>cretary). The object of rho meeting was to consider various alterations to the rules. Thews were duly agreed to, and under the new , rules tlio following gentlemen were elected vice-prxwidents of the Association .-—Colonel Chaffoy. Mc*sre T. H. Pavoy, C. Lewio, and C. A. C.
