The secretary of the Lyttclton Casual "Wharf* Laboureis' Union wrote asking that additional drinking taps be plaord on the wharves. It was decided to i&cceda to the request. TJio secretary of tho Municipal -Association wrote advising that tho B.ennial Conference would be held in Wellington in July next, and requesting the Council to elect delegato-. Tho Mayor and the Town Cierk were appointed. Tho Sanitary Committee reported with refereuco to a complaint from Mr Thomson, that they had in.spectod his property, end wcro of opinion that no objection could be taken to the deposit of clean street sweepings thereon, but lon no account should manure be put there. The report was adopted. The Sanitary Inspector, in his report, stated that no case of infectious dieaaso had been reported in the boxpugh since the 27th March last. The Fire Prevention Committee recommended that the West Lytteltan fire bejl should be removed to the site alongside the hose-house in Voelas road. Tlie rejwrt was adopted.
