Much dissatisfaction was ielt by tho men on the Otago Central Railway works, writes the Chatto Creek correspondent of tho " Star," about the payment of the wages which became due a considerable time betore Easter, and were it. not for the liberality and kindness of residents of Chatto Creek many would have been unable to proceed to their hemes for tho holidays. lho Government aro rather particular in enforcing tho payment of wages by private linns as such become due, and it, Mould give much satisfaction wero they to become more punctual in the same direction themselves.
