Dr. Gihb, of Wellington, will deliver a lecture, "Drumtoclity """ketches," «t the Choral Hall. , Signoia Veno-'ta. notifies elsewhere | that she has recommenced teaching. ! Under tho auspices of tho V.M.C.A., Mr R. H. W. Bligh will deliver a White Cross address to young men in the Aloxandra Hall on Monday n:ght. A public meeting will bo held in the Canterbury Hall on Thursday, May 3rd, when*« presentation will bo made to Mr T. E. Taylor. ' In connection with the jubilee of St. I Andrew's Church, a garden party will !be held at Riccarton, the res.dence ot Mrs Deans, to-day, from 3 to 0.30 p.m. To-morrow, special <°ervices will be held in St. Andrew's Church. Tne Moderator ot the General Assembly, tho Rev. David Borrie, will preach in the morning, and Dr. Gibb, of Wellington, in the evening. In the afternoon, iat tho Canterbury Hall, the Moderator of the General Assembly will preside and deliver a address. The Rev. Dr. Gibb, of Wellington, will also fake port. A public meeting will lie held iin St. Paul's Church, on- Tuesday evening.
