NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
In connection with the celebration of the jubilee of Presbyterianism in Canterbury, a garden, party will be held at the residence or Mrs Deans, Riccarton, to-morrow. Special eervicee will be conducted on Sunday at St. Andrew's morning and evening, by Rev. Dr. Borrie, moderator of the General Assembly, and at the Canterbury Hull, at 3 p.m., by Rev. Dr. Gibb. of Wellington. A public meeting will be held in St. Paul's Clmrch on Tuesday evening. The polling, for the Drainage Board loan will take place on Wednesday next between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. The eeini-finale of the combined championships of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Club will be played, to-morrow at 2.30 on the Cranmor square courts. The concert in aid of the funds of Arbor Day celebration will bo held* in the Choral Hall on Empire Day, Thursday, May 24th. The programme will be an attractive one. The visiting delegates to the Political Labour League Conference hare been invited to a complimentary social and danco to take place to-night in the Montreal street Hall. All arrangement* have bfic-n made tor a successful gatherA bazaar will be held at Templeton to-morrow afternoon and evening in aid of the fund for re-roofing St. Saviour's Chinch. Tire various subcommittees give very excellent reports of subscription* and work. A novel item in connection with ihe bazaar wiil be a produce auction. A meeting of the Canterbury Bowling CVntrc will be held to-morrow evening in tlie pavilion of the Canterbury Bowling Club at eight o'clock.
